Ogden Soccer donates $15,000 in soccer frames

Ogden Soccer donates $15,000 in soccer goal frames

Did you know Ogden Soccer has purchased and donated all the large, white goal frames that you see out at the parks,
paints all the white lines on the soccer fields, and pays a use fee to Ogden City for using the parks?

As of January 2022 Ogden Soccer has purchased 8 more new frames to replace unsafe or dangerous frames. In addition to addressing safety concerns this will also provide the correct size of goals for every system of play 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11.

In the past three years Ogden Soccer is proud to announce it has invested in the community by purchasing and donating approximately $15,000 in goal frames to help create a safe environment for the community at large to play soccer.

What does it mean that Ogden Soccer donates frames at the parks and contributes to field maintenance?

Ogden Soccer is honored to have a volunteer team that is dedicated to keeping costs accessible for all children while increasing the quality of our community sport. To help achieve this pursuit, the president of Ogden Soccer writes grants for new safe equipment such as field goals. In addition to field grants our director of finance, Jennifer Ewing, submits financial aid grants to help make soccer more affordable for more kids. The positive support is further channeled into our community with leveraged opportunities through our sponsorship director, Tyler Belliston.

In addition to donating goal frames to the community and expanding program support by securing scholarships that enable all kids to play, we are also prudent with your member fees, ensuring that every penny is used to help build lasting programs. Ogden Soccer has taken a local approach to utilizing your membership, giving us the ability to support our city parks and open green space. We are so proud that, together as a community, you have helped us build a foundation that is giving back where you live.

Moving forward we seek your input on how to best serve the ecosystem while ensuring that you have space to use with your players; space that you pay taxes and additional user fees for.

What are your thoughts? As a member of Ogden Soccer please provide your advice on how to preserve open space, while being good stewards of our limited soccer fields. Send email to [email protected].
