Ogden Soccer Mission
Guided by our four principles, Ogden Soccer’s mission is to unite our diverse community through the game of soccer, developing a culture of learning centered on the player while promoting physical fitness, social connectedness, inclusion, self-esteem, respect, community pride, and a continued pathway for player development.
Ogden Soccer Principles
Player Centered® - Our programs are open to all children ages 3+ who want to register and play soccer. Interest and enthusiasm are the only requirements for playing. Our objective is for children to develop a love for the game by utilizing our player centered development models.
Trained Coaches – In accordance with the US Soccer Player Development Framework, we require every coach to be licensed and follow our player centered coaching philosophies. Development over winning is the highest priority, and all coaches inspire and guide their individual players.
Positive Environment – Our players are encouraged to develop to the best of their abilities. Benchmarks are designed and centered with players in mind by our coaches and parents. Ogden Soccer fosters a supportive environment for the players and coaches to develop. Our philosophy is positive reinforcement rather than criticism to produce desired results.
Community Focused - Ogden Soccer believes in giving where you live. Our volunteers are dedicated people that continually give selflessly. We also want to grow community-based relationships with other organizations, businesses, cities, and schools. We can all make a positive impact for our youth and generations to come. We are many, but together we are one.
